In May I had the opportunity to be involved in The Big Fake Wedding once again! For those of you who don’t remember, last June I was a vendor for this event and last November Ben and I actually got to be the bride and groom! Needless to say, I love what this company does, and it was so fun to participate for a third time.
This time, the inspiration for the Big Fake Wedding centered around Italian influence: Roma red and lush greens, intricate details reminiscent of duomos and artistic masterpieces, but balanced by the fresh, unfussy feel of an Italian family-style meal. To actualize this theme I chose petal-heavy blooms like peonies and garden roses, and then contrasted them with lush, untamed greenery and textures. I threw in some saracena swamp lilies because their unique patterns remind me of a cathedral! As always, it was so exciting to see what all of the other fantastic vendors had cooked up!
